In bringing the Enneagram into conversation with nature-based practices we also allow the model to speak beyond the personal into the ecological.

Inner and outer thresholds: Ceremony and ritual in Enneagram work

This session applies lessons from wilderness work and rites of passage to support individual transformation. In wilderness based rites of passage, the journey of the ceremony consists of three phases: severance, threshold and incorporation.

Stepping towards ourselves requires the same: severance from the old self, an invitation or learning that takes us through the threshold between the old and new, followed by practices of incorporation that allows us to fully take on transformation and our authentic selves.

This session will practically invite participants to work with thresholds and rituals in support of their transformation. We will work with the following questions:

- What are different adult development stages that serve as thresholds in our journey?

- What severance is required for different Enneagram paths of development

- What thresholds need to be crossed on each Enneagram path

- How can we use ritual and ceremony to deepen the incorporation of these transformations?

- How can we invite the medicine of the wilderness to support us in our work in each of the Enneagram centres (gut, heart, head)

The session includes the opportunity to participate in a transformative ritual.
