How to get to the venue

From Amsterdam central station

One of the most popular parts of Amsterdam's public transport network is the city's reliable and frequent tram service. All tram routes start at Amsterdam Central Station.

From the airport

There are various ways of getting to Amsterdam from Schiphol including taxi or public transport. A taxi costs about €40.

When taking public transport directly from the airport, you can take a train from Schiphol to Amsterdam.

Tickets for Train and Tram

Train tickets

For traveling with a train, you need a train ticket. These can be purchased at Schiphol Airport or Central Station at the vending machines.

Tram tickets

You can purchase a one-hour ticket aboard the majority of Amsterdam trams – a ticket attendant sits in a booth towards the rear of most trams; otherwise the driver at the front can assist you. You can also purchase 24- and 48-hour tickets aboard the tram.

The I amsterdam City Card gives you unlimited access to public transport in the city operated by GVB, including city trams. You can also make use of the ‘Get out of Town’ offer to combine it with the Amsterdam & Region Day Ticket.
